- The National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal allows victims to report cyber crime complaints online efficiently from any/all parts of the country.
- It covers a wide range of cyber crimes including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), online financial frauds, mobile crimes, hacking, and more.
Types of Complaints and Reporting Options:
Reporting Crimes Related to Women/Child:
- Report Anonymously: File complaints related to online child pornography or sexually explicit content anonymously.
- No personal information required.
- Report and Track: Register with your name, mobile number, and email.
- Verify yourself with OTP.
- Fill required/mandatory fields include name, phone number, email, and details of the complaint.
- Upload evidence such as screenshots, chat transcripts, etc.
- Report Anonymously: File complaints related to online child pornography or sexually explicit content anonymously.
Reporting Other Cybercrimes:
- Register using your name and valid Indian mobile number.
- Receive OTP and complete verification.
- Enter mandatory fields include name, phone number, email, and details of the complaint.

What Evidence Should I Keep for Filing a Cybercrime Complaint?

According to RBI guidelines, if you report the fraud within 72 hours and it occurs due to negligence on the bank’s part, or even if it occurs due to your own negligence and the fraud continues after you report it, you are not liable for further losses.
